Direct Messages in EliteInsta: Two Inboxes, Zero Mix-Ups
How direct messages work in the gold build: full thread history, media and voice notes, and how two apps keep two accounts' inboxes cleanly apart.

For heavy messagers, the second inbox is the reason to run a second app. Sign two accounts into two clients and each inbox holds one life: no account switching mid-conversation, no sending from the wrong profile. This guide explains how messages behave in Elite Insta, what carries across automatically, and the two habits that prevent every mix-up readers have ever reported.
Your threads are already here
Direct messages belong to your account, so the moment you sign in to EliteInsta, your threads are present with their history: text, photos, videos, voice notes, shared posts and reels. Scroll an old thread to prove it to yourself. Nothing needs importing, syncing or forwarding, and a conversation can be picked up in one client and continued in another if the same account is signed into both, because the thread lives on the account, not in the app.
Sending media and voice notes
Photos and videos send from the gallery or the in-thread camera, and voice notes record the usual way. First time through, Android may ask EliteInsta for microphone and photo permissions; grant the ones you use, since a denied microphone is the entire mystery behind most silent voice note reports. If a message type refuses to work, permissions are the first check, before any deeper digging. The wider checklist lives in the EliteInsta common problems guide.
Two inboxes, kept apart
Here is the discipline that makes the layout work: treat each app's inbox as belonging to its account, completely. Answer project messages in the gold app, personal ones in the official app, and let notification sounds differ between the apps so your ear sorts the inbox before your eyes do. Requests from people you do not follow land in the requests folder of the account they wrote to, in that account's app, which keeps stranger mail away from your main inbox by design.
Group chats and shared content
Group threads behave as they do anywhere: members, media and replies all present, mute controls per thread for the loud ones. Sharing a post or Reel into a thread works from either app. One caution worth the sentence: when you share your own post into a chat, you share it as the account signed into the app you are using. A glance at the icon before sending is the whole security system, and after a fortnight it is reflex. Posting craft for the other surface is in our EliteInsta stories guide.
Requests deserve a weekly glance
Message requests from people you do not follow are easy to forget in a second app, because nothing about them shouts. Give the requests folder a weekly glance in each inbox: genuine messages hide there, from old friends on new accounts and customers who found the shop. Decline the rest without ceremony. An inbox habit this small is the difference between a tidy second app and a neglected one.

Quick Answers
Do I lose my message history by using EliteInsta?
No. Threads and their history belong to your account and appear in full when you sign in.
Why can I not record voice notes?
Almost always a denied microphone permission. Allow the microphone for EliteInsta in Android app settings.
